Guest guest
Hello and welcome . I found this group last year after I was diagnosed with RA. I don't have any experience to help with your questions, but this is a very knowledgable group. I hope someone here has answers for you. Congratulations on the new baby! I just wanted to welcome you into the group. Shirley > > Hi Everyone. I am new to the group, but I have had RA for 5 years, and > Sjogren's for 2. Guest guest
Hi , I have neuropathy and have the numbness of my hands and feet when I wake up.I also have Fibromyalgia that can also have those same symptoms. If you do find a new Rhu he/she should be able to help without a neurologist. I was hospitalized with stroke 2 times over the last 4 years. It was the numbness but all on my left side and I lost function. They called them spinal infarction's as the head MRI showed no stroke. The Drs did decide that it was some type of stroke as the signs were there The Neurologist really didn't do much and I did not see him after I got out. The rhu gave me the meds I needed and my Internist handles the Diabetes and the Blood pressure. The Rhu and a pain mgmt Dr diagnosed the Fibro. So you might want to ask about Fibro, Be aware that there are still a large group of Drs that do not believe that Fibro is a disease. Guest guest
, I have neuropathy in my legs and feet since a spinal fusion in 2001. Also have RA and " possible " lupus. The doctors believe my lupus is drug induced from the Humira and Enbrel I was on for almost 7 months. The Enbrel worked incredibly well for me and even though my ANA said I had lupus the docs suspected it was from the Enbrel so I'm not able to take it any longer even though I actually felt much better while I was taking it. So, given my own experience if someone has symptoms made worse by Enbrel or Humira (neuropathy or MS-like symptoms)I'd recommend requesting your doc to check ANA titers. Food for thought.
