Guest guest
Hi Kloey and : In the past, when my flares were awful, my Rheumy would give me steroid shots where I hurt the most. This was in addition to my daily Pred. pills. Had these shots in my feet, back, hips, and shoulders. It did the trick for me. I am praying that the both of you will feel better soon. I know it is pure hell feeling like this 24/7. I am also praying that everyone here will have pain free days. I care so very much. Hugs to all, Barbara From: <wendympsbcglobal (DOT) net> Subject: [ ] Re: Prednisone @gro ups.com Date: Saturday, July 19, 2008, 12:39 PM Hi Clora May. I haven't had any relief from the pred. at all. Sorry but I do not know of any other drugs as I was just diagnosed a few weeks ago. But I am sure someone else here can help you out. I too am a large woman, 265 and I was worried about gaining weight but that doesn't seem to be a problem right now. wendy > > > Wow, I am hoping to get prednisone, But I weigh 300 pounds. I am in so much pain. I have taken prednisone before. When I had a serious allergy. Is there other medicines as good as predisone. I dont need to put on anymore weight and it does take all pain away? > your truly > Clora May > > > > >
Guest guest
Thank you Barbara for praying for us, I believe in prayer. I am positive God will make a way, because I remember some scripture. I will not put more on you than you can bear. God is saying this. I feel better just reading your response. hugs Clora May From: <wendympsbcglobal (DOT) net> Subject: [ ] Re: Prednisone @gro ups.com Date: Saturday, July 19, 2008, 12:39 PM Hi Clora May. Guest guest
Clora, Enbrel and Humira are both given by injection. Methotrexate can also be given by injection. I give myself an Enbrel shot twice a week, and it is working very well for me. I hope that you get some relief soon. Don't worry about having to give yourself shots; you'll become an old pro at it after you've done it a while. I inject into my tummy, and it does not hurt. Good luck! Guest guest
Sue and the Gang \ \ Thanks for the info on enbrel and humira. I been hearing a lot of ebrel and humira. I take some of the meds others are taking. I wonder how come a medicine worked for one person and not another person. That is strange. Awe, I am not worried about the injections Sue. Can't be as bad as this RA gets. I feel better tonight. When I wake up in the morning I feel awful. Does anyone else feel this way?????? I am so sore. I hurt everywhere. I drag myself out of bed and get my cornflakes and milk. Set my meds beside me and take them after I eat. That first couple hours are heck. I hope I get the injections. or the prednisone so I can lead a normal life for a while. lol I hope she give me anything that works, I don't care what it is.
