Guest guest
Again, I'd like to apoligize for being a month behind in my replies... Clora and group, Last time I went to the doctor, they said I lost 12 pounds in 1 month! And I wasn't even trying!!! My mother says its because I babysit my (almost) 2 year old granddaughter all week. I hope that's it. When the doctor told me how much I lost, I got scared. I've never lost that much that fast before. I have a long way to go though. I need to lose about a hundred pounds! I WANT to go on a " raw food " diet (raw fruits and vegetables, nuts and seeds). (I say WANT because I don't know if I'll be able to stick to it.) From what I've read on the internet, not only will it help me to lose weight, but it is suppose to help with the RA also. I got up to use the bathroom just now and I too had to limp all the way there and back. The worst part is trying to get out of the chair after being on the computer for so long. I try not to sit here as much as I use to. That's part of the reason I'm so far behind in my reading of the posts from this group. Your daughter sounds like my husband and son and daughter (although they've gotten a little better with helping me lately). I try to take it in stride by reminding myself that they're probably right. I can't out-argue them anyhow, so I don't try. I try to let it go too. I just keep thinking, " they're gonna miss me when I'm gone " . Then again, maybe they won't. Hanging in there, Re: [ ] Re: I'm done with MTX and group. Awe thank you your right. How can we lose weight when we are in to much pain to move. I am eating fresh vegetables. I avoid fried foods. Had to give up sugar cause I have diabetes now. I do eat the fake sugars sometimes. I cut my meat portions down. I limp through the house now just to go to the bathroom. I got some suggestions in my book mark to lose weight plus I have a few books for weight loss from doctors. My daughter wont get me a drink cause she says you need to walk mother . I told her that I was in to much pain. Please don't hate her. but she said get up mother you need to move. She is 36 years old. She don't realize how much pain I am in , or she is in denial. She is a loving daughter. She thinks if she makes me walk I will lose weight. Don't worry my husband does it for me when I cant. I will show my daughter the letter about skinny people with RA. So again I say is there skinny people out there with RA who hurts real bad?? My daughter thinks if I lose weight the pain will all go away. j Oh my daughter said about the other girl having a lot of pain is not the same as me. Well I just got to let it go. I am in pain and so is anyone else that has RA. Some people have had remissions and better days. I am so glad for them. I hope I get some too. lots of love group. hugs everyone Clora
Guest guest
and Group; LINDA it's you haaaaaaaa. You are late on your responses. Thats ok you been a very busy girl lol. Wow you lost 12 pounds. Take 12 pounds of potatoes and hold them. Thats what you lost girl! Yes you can do it try that diet I believe you can do it. From your last story I read you have a lot of stamina. My oldest daugter is in denial about my RA. I just leave her alone about it. Thats ok, I just hope she never has to find out with RA. My youngest daughter is 34 and she knows my pain. She feels so sorry for me. She just had a 5 lb 8 oz baby boy by c-section. I got wonderful days ahead with a baby grandson. I know who you are now . I need to lose 150 lbs. You have sent a lot of post that made me fell so good. My husband use to be a nimcompoop haaaaaaaaaa. Now he takes care of me. I use to take care of all the house. I worked and had to do all the house work and cooking while he watched tv and took it easy when he got home from work. He now does all the house work haaaaaa. He should of helped me all those years now he has to do it. I can't believe what a cook he is. And he keeps the house better than I did haaaaaaaa. Well when I did it we had 4 kids at home. I know the pain your going through . I feel that way now. I start humira this thursday. I pray it helps. I go off the prednisone yesterday. When I took the 10 mg I could clean and cook again. I went down to 5 mg aand half the pain came back. Now I am off the prednisone. I wish I could continue taking prednisone. My rheumy says I cant take it. they sound like they really love you hon. They would surly miss you when your gone. Try to take it easy. Keep losing the weight girl I am so very proud of you. gentle hugs everyone CLora >
