Hi - I am happy to hear that you are getting your RA under

control. At the same time, it saddens me to hear that doctors would so

lazily (for lack of a better word) just poo-poo off your jaw symptoms

as RA without requesting further evaluation. Why is it taking 12

months to have your impact wisdom teeth taken out?

As for your feet, I do get the same kind of pain, but I don't have the

blanching look that you are getting. Have you seen a podiatrist? I

would think that would be the next logical step to take. That's what I

would do if I had insurance. Keep us posted - I hope it is something

simple............Doreen :)

Sorry your having such a problem with your feet. I do have neuropathy

pain. It bothers my left leg and my foot. I take neurontin to help

with numbness and pain.

I do have extreme pain with my RA. I would talk to your doctor, you

might need to see a neurologist. I hope someone can help you here.

Keep us posted, Tawny

I saw an ortho for the pain, numbness and tingling in my feet and was

diagnosed with Plantar Facitis. He prescribed a splint to sleep in,

custom built orthotics and therapy. Since my insurance wouldn't pay

for any of it, I got the splints. They didn't help much. So, I went

to Walmart and bought arch supports, the highest ones I could find,

and it was like a miracle! I wear shoes all day with the supports,

instead of flip-flops and it makes all the difference in the world.

Hi ,

Sorry about all the pain in your feet. It sounds to me like it is

Raynaud's Phenomenon. My daughter gets that very badly. She has to

warm them up slowly over a period of time to ge the circulation back

into her feet. She gets this in her hands also. She can get this any

time of year when her extremities get cold. Try asking your doc

about that.

Hope you feel better soon.

  • 4 weeks later...

Hi, This is my first post. I saw your message here and it struck

home. I have spondyloarthopathy, very similar to RA which runs in my

family, but my arthritis attacks my feet. I suspect my pain is

partly from the mess of bones which have migrated, as well as the

inflammation. I dinked around with a podiatrist, etc. until finally 3

years later got a sero-negative RA diagnosis, which was changed to

spondyloarthropathy after genetic testing. Cold water is really bad--

I've been trying to swim but find it takes a much warmer pool to not

aggravate symptoms. In addition to swimming, I've done 4 months on

methotrexate, longer on plaquenil, prednisone, and now added a 3rd

drug rather than going to methotrexate shots. fatigue, depresson,

ostoporosis, and difficulty walking--that's my definition of arthritis.
