Thanks for another wonderful article. If you would, please help

me translate the conclusions into English?

If I am understanding this correctly, neck stretches WITHOUT pressure,

resistance or force are OK.

Stretches WITH pressure, resistance or force are a BIG NO.

Thank you...........Doreen :)

Doreen,

There were three groups of RA patients studied: those with no anterior

atlantoaxial subluxation (aAAS), those with stable aAAS, and those

with unstable aAAS.

The conclusion was that for patients with unstable (aAAS), certain

exercises reduced the width of the cervical spinal canal (atlantoaxial

distance (AAD)) and are not recommended.

It's very important for every RA patient to know the extent of

involvement in his or her cervical spine and to ask his of her

rheumatologist if there are any exercises or activities which should

be avoided.
