Hi

I also take MTX injections. Was a little difficult at first to give myself the

shots but I started the Humira shots at the same time. I no longer have those

awful side effects so in my case switching was the best thing I could have done.

Tawny,

I don't have any info to help. Sorry. I did want to tell you I'm

glad the MTX injections are so much better for you and the pain is

some better.

God bless,

Tawny - This is such good news and encouraging to me. I'm on a low

dose of MTX as I bridge off the Prednisone and I can already see it's

going to cause me some issues. The option of doing the injections is

one I can certainly live with, particularly if it means minimal side

effects.

As for the feet, having a couple pretty bad feet myself that have

caused me pain long before RA was in the picture and have only gotten

worse since, I can identify with how you are feeling. I pray you

find relief for the bone spur issue and will say a prayer that you do.

Hi Tawny

This may sound bizare and I couldn't tell you why it works, because

it's bone I know, but i've known 3 people who've had great success

with using Glucosamine and Chrondotin for their heels spurs. One of

those people dodged surgery, that was the only suggestion given to

them by a Doc at the time.

Start on the high dose they suggest as for use with Osteo (if your

Doc allows you a higher dose than on the label go for it) and then as

you feel the benefits you can go onto the maintenance dose (and it's

cheaper) or even just completely stop - which happened in all 3

cases - that they no longer need anything.

Just a suggestion - I haven't personally had them, nor did any of

these people suffer RA - it was my sister, ex husband and a friend.

After we found it worked with one I passed the advice on to the other

2 - I was pretty amazed at the results. Before they were all

guzzling NSAIDS - and still often in pain.

I hope you find what works for you.

Bob,

You might ask the doc at your next visit. For some reason, and I'm

kind of scared to keep talking about it,(don't want to jinx it,) I

have more energy, and the fatigue is so way down.

Now, with all this energy, can't do much for this old heel of mine.

I have RA so bad in my feet, and so painful. When I first get up, it

takes my feet awhile to start working. I did get that boot today,

and I can walk a little better, just awkward.

You have a great night, Tawny

,

I have a book about different meds and remedies, and I read where

Glucosamine and Chrondotin causes high blood pressure. I thought

about taking it before, but then I read that, so kind of scared me

off, I have bp problems.

I will talk to my doctor though, and what she has to say. The last

time I went to the doc, my bp was up, and she said, " what, you went

off your bp med?! "

Anywho, thanks for posting, I do appreciate your kindness. Tawny
