hi

unfortunately it was always brand minocin that made me very sick not

generic. i tried at different points going back on it and same symptoms

returned so no go. :-(

monique

Doxy worked for me.? Lynne PS I started getting dizzy from the generic

minocycline.

? Minocin didn't bother me but got to be too expensive.

I agree! And yes, I definitely have major memory loss that does get

better (though not all better) on Doxy.

, you take it the same way you would take the Minocin. The basic

protocol calls for 100 mg. M-W-F, but sometimes doctor's prescribe it

differently - depending on the patient. Here are some of the variations - -

- 100 mg. twice a day M-W-F

- 100 mg. daily

- 100 mg. M-F

- 100 mg. twice a day

- 100 mg. twice a day M-F

Just remember, the organisms causing these diseases multiply slowly so most

of the time there is nothing gained by taking it daily, and the more you

take the greater your risk of fungal infections and leaky gut.

This may be a stupid question but can you have Lupus and Rheumatoid Arthritis? I

didn't know that it was possible to have two or more autoimmune diseases at the

same time.

Re: rheumatic doxycycline

I am on Doxycycline for my rheumatoid arthritis, Lupus and Sjogrens

Syndrome, and it helped me TREMENDOUSLY. Less pain, stiffness, no

rash or fevers anymore, more energy. My dosage is 100 mg 2x day.

Hope that helps, and GOOD LUCK!!

I am in bad shape after 24 years of RA. in October last year I started getting

swollen reddish legs, discolored stools and foul smelling urine. When I stopped

mino, the urine and stool would get back to normal in a few days. I tried that

twice to make sure it's the mino and then i tried doxy with the same bad result.

two weeks ago I started drinking vegetable juices and eating a gluten free diet.

i also take niacinamide, b-6, amino acids, vit c and spectra 405-R an herb

combination. this will give my liver and kidneys a break.

Yes, I have been diagnosed with RA-- BECAUSE of the overactive

autoimmune system (Lupus and Sjogren's Syndrome--also diagnosed with

blood work, etc.) attacking my cartilage and tissues. I have had two

knee surgeries and have no cartilage left in my knees. I think it can

be relatively common, actually, to have more than one autoimmune

disorder.

I have RA, Sjogrens, and Scleroderma - It is often the case to have more

than one auto-immune disease.
