You can get Tai Chi DVDs by Dr Lam. These are the ones the American

Arthritis Association uses for certifications for Tai Chi for Arthritis. You

could also contact your local Arthritis Association and ask them where a Tai

Chi for Arthritis class is located in your area.

I got one of his DVDs on ebay a couple of years ago, but if you do a Google

search for Tai Chi Lam, you will find places to purchase DVDs.

Anyone here do tai chi? I've heard that certain forms are really good for

arthritis & RA.

Can anyone recommend a dvd for learning, as joining a group is not an option

as I'm in a

rural area.

My new drug regime is working & I'm trying to do as much as I can to bring

back my strength

& flexibility. I try to ride everyday & I do some weights a few times a

week. My knee still

holds me back especially when it decides to throw a spastic fit! I'm hoping

something like tai

chi may ease it.

I bought " Tai Chi for Arthritis " by Lam, I havn't tried it yet.

I also bought " Healing Yoga, for Aches and Pains " by Anchor Bay, I

tried this one and it didn't cause any pain, it was very soothing and

easy. Also I got " Just My Size, Yoga " with ...it is

designed for larger women...but she teaches you modifications to yoga

to easy pressure off different parts of your body, so you can

eventually build up to going to a class. I like her the best!

Good luck with it!

It has helped me. Things like Yoga and Tai Chi, help build muscle

tone and stamina. It's works well for me!

I have had both my hips replaced, and am now recovering from spinal

fusion surgery. Both my hip and back surgeons have told me no yoga.

But I am very interested in the Tai Chi. Please post again when you

have tried it. I am going daily to my YMCA and walking around and

around the shallow end of the pool. gentle hugs! Marcia in New York
