Guest guest
Hi , I have Vertigo as well, but mine is unrelated I believe. I get mine around end of August beginning of September for a week or two due to allergies. It's a pain! LOL. Good luck to you, hope you are feeling better. Heidi in Mass. I plan on bringing this up to my doctor at my next appt. but I want to know if this problem is happening to anyone else with RA or is it just an unrelated symptom such as labrynthitis. Guest guest
Hi : It can be caused by C spine problems as you said, but it can also be caused by certain types of medications, particularly narcotic pain meds. If you are taking any narcotics, you should check the info found on them thoroughly, as it will usually tell you how to avoid such an incident. At any rate, I have found that if I am going to have to do something that causes vertigo, I do it slowly and that lessens or takes away the unpleasant dizzy/lightheaded/gonna fall over/float away feeling. -- Dodge " I make the living, my dog makes the living worthwhile. Guest guest
, I went to the doctors in March for vertigo. She told me, it is a virus and it will last for awhile. Also said it will come back. It has and I hate it. I find if I move my head slower it helps. If I am in a situation where I am moving my head back and forth. Like at a game or talking at a table and moving my head, the vertigo is terrible. I have to stop and just rest my head. I find it very un-nerving. I have read about it online and even found exercises that help. I have to run out but when I get back I will send them to you. I find they do help. -------------- Original message -------------- From: " " <jessica.asmar@...> I am very new to all this RA business and besides my hands and feet being in extreme pain....I get vertigo when I move my head quickly or go from sitting, standing, laying down, etc. This by far is my most bothersome symptom and I read somewhere it can be caused by degeneration of the cervical spine.
