Bonnie and Group,

Plaquanil put me in the hospital for 2 days last week. One of the

side effects that can happen is muscle weakness. I reached the point

where I collapsed and could hardly even whisper a sound. Had to call

911... Be careful with ALL RA meds...I wonder if they can do more

harm in the long run than do good. I got off of all the RA meds.

And my PCP and Rheumy didn't listen to my complaints at all , only

the neuralogist who was called in to see me listened to what I had to

say. To the end my PCP said I was severly depressed and it was

causing my weakness. Said I need to work with the doctor and help my

self to get stronger and get out and walk and socialize. What

garbage! These docs are going to get copies of letters I'll write to

the head of their practice groups. I am so angry that I'm smoking.

A few days off of Plaqunil and I started feeling better. Then stopped

methotrexate and Sulfasalazine.

Be Very Careful of ALL these meds and gentle hugs.
