Guest guest
Hi all! Today is my 41st birthday. Ugh! I can tell you I never thought I would feel this old (from the pain) at 41. Anyways, I had a great day with my family going to Kent State University where my daughter wants to go next year. As if the birthday didn't make me feel old enough! LOL! I am SO wiped out from walking up and down stairs (there must be at least 300 sets of steps throughout the campus) and trying to stay in the shade so I don't break out in a killer rash from the meds. But over all it was a great time. Something I wanted to ask you all about is the cortisone shots. About 7 years ago I got one in my wrist, way before the RA, and it did a real number on my skin. It looks like my grandmothers skin, so thin and wrinkly. My gp told me a while ago to never get another shot. Has anyone else had this happen? Guest guest
Hi , I am a newbie. First of all Happy Birthday!!! I do know what you mean about feeling old! I am 42 and feel that there should be a 1 in front of that 4 LOL!! I have old looking skin too. I do believe in my case it is from years of taking prednisone. Are you on pred? This has also contributed to these leg ulcers I get. I am not diabetic, but they take forever to heal due to the condition my skin is in. Rest up from your college trip! Guest guest
Hi Beth. Thanks for the bday wishes! I am on my third week of pred. Not only did my skin look really old but it is also very thin and looks like tissue paper. wendy --- In , Beth Sander <ccbethonthefarm@...> wrote: > > Hi , > I am a newbie.
