Guest guest
An Indian lady who is an MD/NMD I work with told me to take a tablespoon of tumeric a day (mixed with juice) for RA inflammation and pain. This is what she prescribeds to all her chronic pain folks. Has anyone heard of this or tried this? It sounds too good to be true. I got the actual RA diagnosis today, btw. My arms are killing me. I actually had to go to the ER yesterday because of the pain. They didn't know what to do with me at the ER! The doctor there said he didn't " believe in Rhuematoid Arthritis " and thought I was just looking for attention. My rheumy today was furious about this and promised to put in a call, but it's over and done now. I'm depressed because I went through this when I was diagnosed with Hashimotos hyperthyroid. Now I have another disease that many in medical field find suspicious. in TN
Guest guest
, Nothing suspicious with any of these autoimmune diseases. I'm also Hypothyroid and went through that a year ago. What's suspicious is the ER doctor you had to put up with. Don't let his ignorance get you down. As for the Tumeric, I work with many Asians, both from India and Pakistan and asked a couple about the remedy. Basically, if you find relief, good, but don't expect it. Best to follow western medicine until you get things under control. Anything like the Tumeric suggestion may help a little at best with the symptoms but will do nothing for the disease progression. Hang in there.
