I'm 45 and have a fibroid in my uterus (6 X 7cm). I am having heavy

clotting and bleeding and my periods are lasting longer and longer.

My GYN is keen on a hysterectomy. I've never had kids, though I have

tried many years. I don't feel ready for a uterus removal. Has

anyone elses doctor pushed for the hysterectomy because of age. I am

considering the myomectomy. I've also read about Female Alternative

Surgery on the Web. Its done at Temple Hospital in CA. Has anyone

looked into this?
