Guest guest
hello polly, my name is melynda gamez. i don't even know where to begin i've gone through all of these things. 1)burnout to me is another name for how much more can i take. 2)as for exhaustion i feel it everyday of my life. somedays i've not even gotten out of bed and i'm so tired,no energy. 3)i'm angry all the time because i feel i can't perform my duties as a wife or mother. 4)HOPELESSNESS makes me feel useless to me and other's around me. i've had ra since i was 5 yrs.old.now at 38 it's progressed. i've had problems with medicaid,ss among other issues affecting my life. i do not recieve any type of income due to the govt. says my husband makes too much money. well i'm sorry polly but tell me one family that could live on 11.50 an hr. for a family of three.. i feel so useless and alone at times because my husband works so HARD to provide for his family and i can not do anything about but sit back and stress out about what could possiably happen to him. i have to admit i stress alot about everything and anything. when this occurs i'm in a state of DEPRESSION and my ra flares up really bad. so what i've come to terms with is this, i'm going to live LIFE TO THE FULLEST, DO THE BEST I CAN DO and leave the rest to the LORD OUR GOD. god bless, melyndagamez 9/2/08 9:30p.m.cdt [ ] Need help for Arthritis Today article Hello, My name is Polly .. I'm a writer -- who also happens to have RA. I'm working on a story for Arthritis Today magazine about burnout and I'm hoping to talk to one or two people, whom have experienced symptoms of burnout -- exhaustion, cynicism, anger, depression, hopelessness and work, etc. -- and who are also coping with arthritis. Perhaps you've been burned out with navigating the insurance maze or the healthcare system, whatever. I need someone who will allow me to use their full name to describe what burnout felt like, how it affected their arthritis symptoms, or not and what they did about it.. Thanks for your attention to this. p ------------------------------------
