Hi Amber:

I have been very successful injecting myself with MTX. The pills

made me so sick to my stomach, and I had nausea 24 hrs. a day. I just

couldn' take being so sick like that day and night. My Rheumy taught me

how to inject myself, and I was a wreck, as I hate needles. It has

worked so good for me, I don't know what I was afraid of. The needle is

so fine, you don't feel it, and the injection site never bleeds. I have

been doing this for 5 years now. I take the MTX on Fri. night, before

bedtime, only slight nausea the next day. I also take 2 pills of

Leucovorin, 12 hours after the MTX shot, and this takes care of the

nausea. I have my blood work done 1x a month, and my liver count has

always been perfect, so far. Hope this information helps you. I use

both thighs for my injection sites. I also tried my stomach area, but

didn't like it. Hoping you have some pain free days.

Hugs,

Barbara
