All and all though, it was good. I especially liked the Opening Ceremonies because of their theme of 'reconcilation. It took my breath away when North and South Korea marched as one nation and when Freeman lite the flame. The Silver medal won my Terence , the South African Deaf swimmer was pretty memoriable to me to. < hi Crew - i enjoyed the Olympics too. it was great to see not only the deaf swimmer but also the legally blind runner - makes you realize that the world is changing. lots of inspiration for many more people. in a way it is hard to watch also. i use to dance and preform. i use to sprint and pass the baton. i lived on my bike every summer. used to swim and dive like a fish. never to Olympic levels - just because it was fun. but i do enjoy watching them all. now i would be happy to walk across the room, but still grateful i can get aound in my wheelchair, stand to transfer, drive with hand controls, go to swim at YWCA with one-on-one assistance, read the captions, connect via computer, use TDD on phone, ........ some of us just keep doing whatever we can. stubborn ? yeah, guess so! hugs, LynnBK ______________________________________________________________
