arava and second rheumy appt.....

Just got back from my second rheumy appointment..At first he had told

me rheumatoid factor pos inflammatory polyarthritis and started me on

mtx...So, today went very well...I recieved a diffenent dx of

seropostive rheumatoid arthritis..He said with the pos rf,sedrate and

the joint pain was enough....Im kinda relieve that I can call It ra,

hey much worst things can happen...Not having any relief from mtx...I

had a choice, up the mtx dose and go to shots..He believe I would i

would still get the side effects...or...arava 20mgs daily....So, we

decided to try the arava..He said I have to be careful on what meds I

take because im a nurse and really wanted me to stay low on the totum

pole for now..also gave me medrol dose packs as needed....Than I

mentioned about the reynelds, finger getting cold and turning pale and

bluish...He said primmary reynolds and gave me low dose of

norvasc....Oh.I really like this rheumy but my insurance said now I

have to see the one on the panel, It was only a courtisy because of the

waiting list....Any body have any good results with arava...diane
