Guest guest
Hi Sharon, Since I suspect moving to the South of France is probably out of the question, I've heard that many here use handwarmers and special gloves. I've yet to have to try those but I'm still very new to this. I'm sure some of the others will come back to you with options but just wanted to let you know you'd be in my prayers and I'm hoping tomorrow will be a better day for you. Guest guest
Sorry you are having such a rough time now Sharon. Cold weather really effects my joints also. Since I have Raynald's syndrome, my hands and feet get very cold and white during our winter. I bought hand and feet warmers which help when I an outside. Have to wear gloves and socks to keep them in though. Hot packs are nice, too. Hope you feel better soon. warm hugs, Debbie L -- In , Sharon Turtnbull <rupertsmum@...> wrote: > > Hi > > I just wanted to post and say im having a real bad week, the weather has changed here in scotland and its the type of cold that gets right into your bones!! Guest guest
Pat in Oragon and group; I am very lucky I don't have to battle the cold.. I am so sorry Pat for the weather bothering you.. Yes hot showers sounds nice.. I am in hot South Carolina and my joints still fell crappy.. The humira wears off a day or so before the next injection... At least it don't completely wear off. I am on lyrcia for fibro.. I know a lot of people can't take it.. It is like a miracle drug for me it takes 90 per cent of the fibro pain away... I wonder can food work like drugs also.. For example,, Sulfasalazine and plaqunil does not help my RA at all and it helps a lot of other people.. Couldnt the food theory work the same way.. LIke when someone said doing with out certain foods help RA to go away on a friend. Well that could work on some people and not work on others.. I think to much haaaaaaaaaa. Pain free days everyone.. I should shut up sometimes I just ramble on and before I know it I am texting a complete different subjuct.. Sorry for that everyone God bless and take care gentle hugs Clora > > I am sorry to hear you are both suffering with the cold weather. The weather here in Southern Oregon has changed too.......a couple days ago it was 90 and now we are wet and cold. The damp cool weather seems to bother me the most. I felt crappy all day and just wanted to lay around but sometimes that makes it worse. I take lots of hot showers and love to sit in my hot tub every night before going to bed. It makes such a difference, I cannot stand the pressure of jets on me cause of the fibro but just the soaking in hot water helps. > > Someone told me that the drink Tonc Water every day to help their joints..........not sure if that helps but this person swears by it........ > > Hope you will all be as pain free as you can. > > Gentle Hugs > Pat in Southern Oregon > > Bureau Alvarez > > > > > > > Hi > > > > I just wanted to post and say im having a real bad week, the > weather has changed here in scotland and its the type of cold that > gets right into your bones!! Guest guest
Hi Sharon, Sorry your feeling so bad this week. Have you called your doctor, maybe he can help you? When I feel so badly, Prednisone helps me so much. Our winters aren't too bad here in OK, but I still feel it. I'm always cold anyway, even in the summer. I try to wear extra clothes, socks, and wrap in a blanket when sitting on the couch. I also like to use the rice sock for my neck, it feels so great. I know some people use electric blankets, and love them. I like to drink hot tea also, it makes your inside so warm. I read a LOT in the winter, cause I like to be in a blanket all the time, lol Hope my tips help, and hope you feel better soon, Tawny --- In , Sharon Turtnbull <rupertsmum@...> wrote: > > Hi > > I just wanted to post and say im having a real bad week, the weather has changed here in scotland and its the type of cold that gets right into your bones!!
