Guest guest
Debs, You are a remarkable woman; that's what you are! I'm really glad that you have pulled through all of that terrible stuff and are now able to rejoin us. I was thinking about you often when you were absent and wondering how you were doing. And I thank you for the cabana boys. I belong to a silly online group, and we have a virtual party each month. I introduced the cabana boys to them, and now they're a staple at our parties. Guest guest
Sue........ Thanks for your uplifting message. My cabana boys are able to be rented for weekends. Their traveling costs and a little extra for Mama. Just trying to run a little home based business!!!!!!!!Shhhhhh......don't tell Social Security. Oh, the things that go thru my tiny little mind! I guess when they rewound me after coding all those times, they wound up too tight!!!! Hope this has been a relatively pain free day for you. We have had liquid sunshine in south FL today. Just the perfect day to sleep. We had to go to the emergency vet at 2:00 AM (well not me,but my husband and daughter) after our 9 month old puppy bit a poisonous frog. He started foaming at the mouth and everything. A definite attention getter. But we used common sense (WOW, a first time for everything) and the Vet pronounced him OK. See even paradise has it's problems! I went to see my Infectiouse Disease specialist (one doctor that I really like!). She tells me that my diabetes is out of control again and this is usually the first sign of infection for me. This scares me so much as my next dose of Orencia is in 2 days. She saw the remnants of my finger infectio, however, I am having some severe diarrhea which could also be caused by an infection in my intestines or stomach. More antibiotics needed for that one........Yuck!!!!!!!! Gentle, tender angel hugs tonight, my friend........................ Guest guest
Debs, If I knew you had diabetes on top of everything else, I had forgotten it. Yes, those BG's go up with infection, that's for sure. I hope that the infection can be contained so that you don't have to delay your Orencia. I wish for you lots of good luck to replace all of the bad luck you've had for the last few years. And I'll be glad to pay virtual money for the rental fees for those cabana boys. This weekend will be time for another of our virtual parties on my silly group, and we will be needing them, LOL. Gentle, tender angel hugs back to you, Sue On Tuesday, July 29, 2008, at 09:55 PM, BadKneesDebs@... wrote: > Sue........ > > Thanks for your uplifting message. Guest guest
Howdy from they South Sue, Hope you have a great party! At least with your party you don't need any designated drivers and no one has to clean up! My cabana bpys have been all over the world and have made a nice little nest egg for me, (don't tell SS). Phooey, if I could only go to the bank with something1 Yeah this diabetes is a bite. My sugar is still in the 300's and my meds are being increased along with my fears. My doctor told me that there were nasty things that would happen with the prolonged high sugars. She is teswting for infection, but doesn't think that is the problem. She thinks that there has been another significant episode that has occured in my body. My blood sugars are getting closer to the " Call MD " range. Didn't have my Orencia on Thursday because I had such bad diarrhea. It turns out that courtesy of my insurance companay never sent my Orencia to the doctor's office, so I would not have gotten anyway. Then the drug insurance company called and said that they were overnighting the Orencia to my house. Well, sure enough, I received my Orencia......9 months suppoly!!!!!!!!! What a mess! Monday is coming.....a whole new week of challenges!! Keep on truckin Debs.......... Gentle, tender, holding hands together, angel hugs, Debs in FL Re: [ ] Debs' Cabana boys > > > > > > > Debs, > > You are a remarkable woman; that's what you are! Guest guest
Hi Debs, Yes, we had a wonderful party this weekend, as usual. Our " hostess with the mostest " always seems to come up with fabulous parties. We don't need designated drivers because several of us have magic carpets that go around and collect people, LOL. I have one, and his name is Caron, named after one of my earliest ancestors in this country. We also have the best food. This month, since my birthday is in August and I love butterflies, our cake was decorated with them. And of course the cabana boys were there again, as we couldn't do without them now. The check will be in the virtual mail. I'm sorry your diabetes is behaving so badly. Are you on insulin? If not, you might need to be, at least temporarily. I hope the doctors get it all sorted out and do something about it. What are you doing with a nine-months' supply of Orencia? Does it have to be refrigerated? I don't think you can infuse yourself. It certainly is a mess. I get my Enbrel sent directly to me, a 3-month supply at a time. But my insurance company allows for a 34 day supply of our meds instead of the usual 30 days. That means that I'm supposed to get 7 boxes of Enbrel, enough for 102 days. But every time I have to get the prescription renewed, they just can't get it right and cheat me out of one of my boxes. I get so frustrated with them. When I call, they always acknowledge the mistake, but then do nothing to correct it. I hope that things soon improve for you!
