Guest guest
Hi all, Today my husband took our remaining cat for her annual check up. He told our vet about how Taffy pees out of her box often. Our vet said he just came back from a conference and told my husband about a new med for pets. Our vet gave us samples of Cosequin which is a med to help pets with arthritis. Read in the broucher that Cosequin is actually a combination of glucosimine and chondroitin sulfate, same thing we take for our painful joints. The boucher also said pet's bladder have a film similar to cartilage so Cosequin can help with that. Does anyone else have a pet with arthritis? Just thought I would pass this info along. hugs, Debbie L
Guest guest
Debbie, I have a mixed breed that is 14yrs old. He is a large dog, and has stayed around 80lbs most of his adult life. He has been on Rhimadyl for over 3yrs now because of arthritis. It is very comman for large dogs to have it in their back, hind legs and hips. I always feel better when I give him his medicine, just to know that he has something to help. Shirley > > Hi all, > > Today my husband took our remaining cat for her annual check up. Guest guest
Thanks Shirley for your response. Not familiar with Rhimadyl so researched it. Only found sites that said it is for dogs though. Hope your dog gets better from that drug. Guest guest
Thanks for your reply a. Tried researching Dasequin but only found site about dogs also. Added cat to that but my browswer was too slow to see if it helps cats also. Will ask my vet how much the Cosequin costs if Taffy adapts to it. Also will ask about the the Dasequin also. Guest guest
Debbie and all with pets, Find the cheapest price on the internet and your vet should match it. I always print what it would cost me with a Rx and my vet sells it to me for that. I didn't know this for several years and finally complained, that's when they told me about it.
