Hi all,

Today my husband took our remaining cat for her annual check up. He

told our vet about how Taffy pees out of her box often. Our vet said he

just came back from a conference and told my husband about a new med

for pets. Our vet gave us samples of Cosequin which is a med to help

pets with arthritis. Read in the broucher that Cosequin is actually a

combination of glucosimine and chondroitin sulfate, same thing we take

for our painful joints. The boucher also said pet's bladder have a film

similar to cartilage so Cosequin can help with that.

Does anyone else have a pet with arthritis? Just thought I would pass

this info along.

hugs,

Debbie,

I have a mixed breed that is 14yrs old. He is a large dog, and has

stayed around 80lbs most of his adult life. He has been on

Rhimadyl for over 3yrs now because of arthritis. It is very comman

for large dogs to have it in their back, hind legs and hips.

I always feel better when I give him his medicine, just to know that

he has something to help.

Debs, Shirly and Group;

Awe pet with arthritis, I have a simase cat. Her name is t, I

love her so much. I watch her and make sure she is not in pain, she is

11 years old and very healthy. All those with pets, are so lucky cause

pets are so loving. except maybe snake pets like that i guess lol.

I know what carbohydrates are i just am not sure about it all. My

diabetes is fine. And I love white foods. Noodle, potatoes and carbs

seem to be the main diet in our house, I am going to have to work on

that to lol.

hugs everyone

Deb, my pup )9.5 years old) has arthritis, I bought Dasequin, the next level of

Cosequin; it has MSM in it. It is very expensive but it truly works. a

Thanks Shirley for your response. Not familiar with Rhimadyl so

researched it. Only found sites that said it is for dogs though. Hope

your dog gets better from that drug.

Thanks for your reply a. Tried researching Dasequin but only

found site about dogs also. Added cat to that but my browswer was too

slow to see if it helps cats also. Will ask my vet how much the

Cosequin costs if Taffy adapts to it. Also will ask about the the

Dasequin also.

Debbie and all with pets,

Find the cheapest price on the internet and your vet should match it.

I always print what it would cost me with a Rx and my vet sells it to

me for that. I didn't know this for several years and finally

complained, that's when they told me about it.
