Guest guest
Thanks Shirley. Yes youre right it sure could be the Pred, it does a number on you. And I know I aged 10 years after my hysterectomy, and couldnt take the hormones. Oh well. To be honest at this point, I just want to be pain free and healthy, I hate to say it but I couldn't care less how I look. I would like to lose weight because I know it is so hard on the knees and your body to carry the extra weight. Maybe after I get off Pred it will be easier. a [ ] aged skin a, I hate what you went through. You shouldn't have that kind of childhood memories of your mother. I am so sorry. My parents did without so much that I grew up feeling guilty for adding to their financial woes. By that I mean my share of food, housing, clothing, medical, etc. I am the baby of nine, didn't have much at all, but I loved them dearly. It isn't just my face but hands, arms, all over. I am fair skinned and have never been a sun worshiper. I have tried to take care of my skin but maybe it does have something to do with prednisone. Even before the RA I had been on and off of it for years for my back problems. I also had a radical hysterectomy 15yrs. ago and I know that taking estrogen is not the same as your body producing it naturally. I have also been on synthroid for 8 years but I don't know if it has any effect on the skin. My skin is very thin now and shows any and everything, especially my face when I am tired or stressed.
