Mina, I'm praying for you today, have already and will again. You could ask

the dr for an ativan when you get to the hospital, it will help calm you down.

Today is my thyroid cancer surgery. I am nervous and scared. Not

scared of the cancer. Scared of the surgery.

I got to travel 46 miles tuesday to meet a specialist with the

pancreas.Who was very nice did not talk down to me. He talked to me.

So as he spoke to me he informs me that the cyst on the pancreas is

either pre cancer or cancer.

He then informs me my gallbladder is filled with stones.And with the

symptoms I descirbe I need to have it out as soon as possible. But

needs records from my hospital stay last year. And when I passed a

stone from 4 years ago.

I was in shock to say the least. I have bene trying so hard to be

positive. Yet right now seems the happy face keeps getting slapped

off of me.

The biopsy is scheduled for this coming monday.So I have a few days

to recover from the surgery and once again another hospital visit.

I am annoyed to say the least that I have to be the one to call the

hospitals for forms to be sent for my signature to consent for them

to give me my own damn files. I understand ts a law . But its so damn

annoying.

Anyway just wanted to rant a lil.

I did find a SSI disability attorney in my area. So thank you to all

for the directions on how to find one. They told me I have to wait

till denied to appeal.

Good luck with your surgery Mina! I hope that everything works out the best for

you. I'm sorry to hear about your gallbladder. I had mine out when I was 16

years old - about 15 years ago. I am so glad I got the surgery!!! I was in so

much pain. It made such an improvement in the quality of my life and the

recovery wasn't that bad at all. Wishing you all the best!
