Guest guest
Carol - Concerning weight loss for me I lose weight when I go through stress!!!! or a great loss (death of friend, death of a relationship, death of my hearing) Just lose my appetite. Exception to the rule: Before my last brain surgery (all of mine of been knife) in November 1996 I was scared stiff. My previous brain surgery's recuperation was extremely difficult (in 1974). I always felt if I had to go through another brain surgery I would not live through it. So this time before my last brain surgery I did something different - I tried to calm my stressed out state by eating all the time. I gained 24-30 pounds before that surgery. BUT lo and behold - thanks to permanent and partial paralysis - the last two surgeries I lose a lot of weight after the surgery. My skinniest times in life are after the surgeries. I physically can only swallow liquids. That was with difficulty. When my paralysis starts to ease up some I ate pureed foods. So on so on - all of you know about it - you experience it yourself. So in my summation on my on weight gain and loss it is due to stress or physical impairment to eat properly. Hope this is comprehensible.
