Guest guest
Hi Nirja, I don't know about Arawa but I do take Arava (20 MG) daily. I take the generic, Leflunomide. From what my rheummy told me it is one of the lesser aggressive RA drugs. At this time I also take Methotrexate (5 MG) once weekly. The side effects are about the same as the MTX, hair loss, diarrea, nausea, headachs, etc. I do have all of these but not to the point that I can not function. I also take Folic Acid (2 MG) daily to help with the side effects. She doesn't expect the Arava to help me but we must play the insurance game before they will approve the more expensive treatments. I don't know if this helps. Shirley
Guest guest
nirja, I really don't. I searched under antioxidents and RA, and found a lot of material. I read some of it. I would really like to understand more about it. When I first started with MTX my rheummy told me, no vitamins and no herbs. I have not pursued either. I do need to find out why she told me this and if there are any that she could recommend. Shirley > > hi shirley > thanx for the reply.it was arava .at present i am taking Methotrexate10mg once a weekandFolic acid 5 mg once a weekand some other medicines.I am improving but its taking time.Do you know about the role of antioxidents in RA. > thanx > nirja
