Guest guest
To Group regarding Humira, My near death experience on the Humira is why they do not allow me to take biologics anymore since they all work generally the same way and they feel where it progressed so rapidly and I have so many antibiotic allergies that in my case it is NOT WORTH THE RISK at this time. I want to live first. Yes, I want to feel better, but I also want to be alive. I have three kids that we are still raising the youngest is 8, so you can understand the importance of me sticking around a little while. The pneumonia scared my kids to death. Again, make sure you notify your doctor of every cold or infection so you know whether to take your Humira that week or not. Better to skip a week and not get pneumonia don't you think? Again, this is just my 2 cents and my experience. I absolutely felt the best I have ever felt on the Humira. It is a great medicine and they have a wonderful patient financial help program. SO GOOD LUCK TO ALL! Tracie Rae
Guest guest
Tracie RAe and group; Absolutely Tracie,, I know that warning from my doctor.. If I get a cold or feel sick to stop the injections emmidiately.. If I understand correctly the humira and the other meds work to slow the immune system down.. In this case if one would get sick or the flue while on the injections they can get severely ill or even die.. I have had pnuemomia before with out the biologics so I really better be careful.. I know how sick that is.. I understand you need to raise your children yet, however you did try the humira.. I am a little concern also about getting a cold or sick,, or a sinus infection,, I will stop the injections.. I don't know what brought this up so intense.. I couldnt agree with you more hon.. Take care and God bless gentle hugs Clora > > To Group regarding Humira, > > My near death experience on the Humira is why they do not allow me to take biologics anymore since they all work generally the same way and they feel where it progressed so rapidly and I have so many antibiotic allergies that in my case it is NOT WORTH THE RISK at this time.
