I ended up only taking the Lyrica for a week. The doctor got me started

on the free sample then the insurance said they wouldn't cover it. So,

they put me on Neurotin (the generic form being called Gabapentin) and

it doesn't seem to be working. I took 300mg daily for 3 days and am now

on 600mg daily. Is anyone else taking this and does it work for you. I

am taking it for fibromyalgia.---

My rheum gave me samples of Lyrica also then a script. But it was too

expensive on my BCBS plan so I switched back to the Neurontin. He said

I can take it twice a day but that didn't help much with my

fibromyalgia either. So instead I just take both doses at bedtime to

help me sleep better.

,

I take Gabapentin and am hoping to be able to go on Lyrica. I take it for

neuropathy with unknown causes. (RA, Sjogrens, ?)

I take 1800 mg daily (600 in morning and 1200 in evening). It works okay. I

just would like to try Lyrica to see if it works better. Gabapentin is a drug

that can be upped quite a bit. I've heard of people on 3600 mg daily. I would

discuss with your dr. about upping the dosage.

Best of luck,

I've been taking gabapentin for over 2 years and tried Lyrica about a year

ago. I didn't like it and went back to gabapentin.

The Lyrica made me feel dopey and the doctor said that's the reason most

people discontinue using it.
