Guest guest
Thanks Steph! I usually get them at the flu clinic that the town hall does and they are not live vaccines. They are scheduled for the end of the month. I am most likely getting one. I can't imagine going without. I can't believe the fear of going near someone who sneezes without! Isn't it awful? I always think of that old Travolta movie, " Boy in the Plastic Bubble " . Does anyone remember that? Heidi in Mass. In a message dated 10/6/2008 7:05:26 P.M. The 24 hour flu lasted 2 weeks for me and I was convinced. Granted you can still get the flu with the flu shot, but at least it should be less severe. I get the pneumonia shot every 5 years too. The most important thing is NOT to get a live vaccine (ie the flu vaccine that goes in your nose is a live vaccine). At least that is what my rheumy recommends. Take care, Steph in VA Hi, This is my first year on Enbrel. I'm confused as to whether or not I should get the flu shot. I want to get it and I think I should. Last year I had a cold/flu the wouldn't leave me for months, which hadn't happened for years. I have a call into my rheumy. Feedback anyone? Heidi in Mass.
