Hi Sharon,

My Vitamin D has crashed again , inspite of doubling the dose of calcitriol

to see if that would help (that is script vitamin D). My new rheumy called

and said to stop that and go on 50,000 units of Vitamin D once a week for 8

weeks, testing levels at 6 weeks to make sure it's working. He said this is

common in the northeast but I'm taking it to extremes. His attempt at humor

That's kinda freaky :)

I got a call from our local rural clinic yesteday saying they had a letter

from my Rheumy. He must have tracked down my July blood tests (which he hadn't

recieved in September) & one of the tests was for Vitamin D & that showed a

defieicency. So I have to go on some med for that, have a doc appointment

next week.

I wonder though why the " Quack " I had in middlemount told me ( & I quote)

" Everything looks fine " when I saw him for the results?

Sharon.
