NF2: DISFIGURED YET DETERMINED

6/4/2000

NF2 can give us the blues

Or we can move on to pay our dues

Hindered by hearing loss in a class of our own

One easily feels abandoned - quite all alone.

Surgeries come, surgeries go

But not without loss we do come to know

Our face may be numb or an off balance gate

Paralysis shuns us - we are never first rate.

Let's look again at an NF2

We acquire strength that is strong and true

Because with our losses we do gain

Courage and faith to live through the strain.

Our vision may be partial if we see at all

But God has in store for us a much higher call

To love each other straight from the heart

To be determined to live to do our part.
