Guest guest
This poem is dedicated to my NF2 friends. DEAFNESS: A GROWING PEACE To: Lori, Janine, and Ron 6/5/2000 When going deaf there are great fears The growing silence brings many tears Fore as we hear - less and less Our fear of silence is at its best. People around - talking to and fro For us the words come and go Some days are better than others to hear That is so frustrating - we bark at those dear. Since I have been deaf my fears have fled Replaced by a calmness and gentleness instead As I walk each day with silence all around I have a much greater peace I have found. As you travel the path I have gone Know in your heart you will hear a new song One just as joyful as your days of ol' That will bring a great peace to your very soul.
