Guest guest
Hi , I just wanted to let you know that I'm following your story with great interest, as I suspect many of us are. I have a few questions about what you've described: - If there is enough of a uterus left to menstruate, how can he possibly " guarantee " that there is no chance of fibroid regrowth? - What if it turns out that there are fibroids in the lower (remaining) part of the uterus? Would he remove the fibroids, or remove your entire uterus? (I'm asking this partly due to my own experience - I went into surgery once to have an ovarian cyst removed, and woke up to find out my ovary had also been removed.) - Have you asked this doctor about your possible existing infection? Is he the same one who dismissed it, saying he'd find out what it was during surgery? If so, that would be a bit of a red flag. I don't have a whole lot of respect for any physician who dismisses your symptoms and concerns without finding out exactly what's going on. Please don't worry about causing controversy. I'm sorry this has been so frustrating and scary for you. Whether it's the mini-hysterectomy or something else, I hope that you will find a solution soon and get some relief. ==Cat __________________________________________________
