The real reason the Aussies did relatively well is because it was the host

country. It's true the Americans are not nearly as good as they think they are.

But come to Canada and find out how well the Aussies fair!

Adam,

This adds a little drama to the game.

Also, Toronto is making a major bid to host a future Olympic games (I forget

which year). It's very unlikely you Aussies would do as well here (will the

judges slanted and bribed in our favour!). Toronto should have hosted the

Atlanta Olympics but the Yanks have deep pockets and wanted it on their turf.
