did i do the right thing?

Hello,

I have posted acouple of times.I am the one who has RA and Lymes

disease.I have had RA for 8 years and just fot diagnosed with the

Lymes.I am out on short term disability due to the dr taking me off y

enbrel due to some other issues I have.The dr will release me from

the STD on 8-15.In the mean time a job has called me that I applioed

for in the past.It was on I really wanted.I went to the interview

yesterday and it seemms like they want to hire me, but I probably

wouldnt start anyway till after the 15th when I am released from the

std.Any way in the interview they stated they have to call employers

to verify employment,etc.I left there in a panic ,not knowing what to

do, all night I could not sleep because Iam an honest person and I

didnt tell them about the std.I called early this morning and left a

message on the supervisors phone telling her the truth about what was

going on because I didnt want to sound deceitful and I was afraid

that once people hear ra, you wont even be considered for a job.Of

course I will call the disability people up and also give my employer

now a notice.But now I am worrying about if it was actually right to

be honest or not.I am also not on my ebrel till the doc can put me on

it after all tests come back,etc.What would anyone else have done in

my shoes? I just didnt want them to call and my employer tell them Im

out on std and come off as hiding it or being decietful.ARGGHH, this

disease sucks.
