Guest guest
Hello group; I just finished reading and posting to everyone I needed to chat with... Now,, the colonoscopy... It was the worst experience fore... THe first time was ok many many years ago they had me so sedated I went to sleep.. The last time about 5 years ago I was on morphine so I don't think that doctor gave me anything to cope with the procedure...I was careful not to take any morphine before the test.. I thought they knew these tings...was a horrible experience for me... Yes I watched it all and made an aweful scene with the pain of it all.... the doctor kept getting upset with me... I felt all of it... When I had my gall bladder removed I was put to sleep when I woke up I woke up screaming in pain the nurse ran over and gave me something for the pain ... 5 minutes later I woke up screaming its not helping,,,, she came over and gave me some more... I have no idea what she gave me.. When all was done I went home the same day... Did they think I took my morphine pills before the procedure???? I have no idea.. Who would be that stupid to take any medication before a gall bladder removal???? For the next few weeks I felt like I had real real surgery... and I have had a hysterectomy so I know what surgery is like... I had 4 puncture holes where they worked on my gall bladder.. the worst part is there was no stones in it in the first place.... iohave been off of morphine for the last 4 years since I have a new rheumy... I quit cold turkey after all this the doctors put me through.. this way I wont put morphine down as a medication I am on... I'ts time for another colonoscopy but I am so afraid of it I haven't told my primary doctor it was time haaaaaaaaaa. Yes I am chicken bawk bawk bawk... My mom had polips that was cancerand had part of her colon removed... So I am prone to it too... To make matters worse I coughed all night last night... My nose is all plugged up and when I can I blow out a clear mucus co its not an infection it must be a virus... I coughed so hard today it mademe throw up,,,,taking humira so I guess I can't take my next injections till this clears up... darn darn darn... I will make an appointment with my primary doctor to see whats going on... I haven't had my flue shot yet,,, I bet he wont give me my flue shot till this clears up... Husband went out to get some night guill... My spelling gets worse and worse please bear with me haaaaaaa. I will be waiting for everyone to give me some advice. I appreciate the group I am so glad you guys are so full of information... God bless and take care.. gentle kind hugs Clora > >
Guest guest
Clora, Tell your doctor that you do not want a colonoscopy in the office, period! My old quack doctor did that to me and I thought that I was going to DIE! I got nothing to relax me or for pain. My intestines started having spasms during it and I cried and cried from the pain. I made him stop and told him no more. Then I had to drive myself home. I go to a gastroenterologist who does it at a facility where they give me something and I don't know a thing until it is over. I also have a endoscopy at the same time to check on my Barrett's Esophagus. There is no reason to suffer needless pain. I hope you get over that cough soon.
