Dorthey and Group;

I take plaquenil for about a year. My RA got worse since than.

Anyone know why my rheumy is still having me to take it??? It does'nt

help me at all.

How long have you been with this Rheumy? Is he taking blood tests? The

reason my rheumy took me off that and sulfasalazine was because, along with

my symptoms, the blood tests were not showing a lot of improvement. Have

you told your rheumy how you feel?

Though, sometimes I think you have to be blunt with the Dr.! I had not been

showing improvements for months, yet my doc. kept me on the same drugs, then

when notice the blood results each month, then give me a painful shot in my

hip-joint! OUCH!!! Finally, the last visit, it was the same thing and I

said, " I am getting scared everytime I see you! I don't want another one of

those shots! " He told me the only reason he kept me on the drugs and giving

me shots was because the drug I need, Enbrel, was so expensive. I told him

we need to try it.

Maybe you should just tell him, " Doc, this isn't working!! "

Of course, maybe you have!
