Guest guest
Hi! I'm not sure what state you are in, but I live in Indiana. Medicaid covered our treatment at 100%. They didn't ask any questions or anything. Just make sure that your ortho sends in all the paper work from the beginning, it makes it easier. Ours sent everything at one time so that they could see everything and it was approved in less than a week! Good luck! If you have any questions feel free to email me! Guest guest
I love Ohio too but sometimes my joints do not..and the winters are tough. I do love the snow on the first day but not so much around february. The hospitals are wonderful here....Cleveland Clinic, The VA is great, University and Ireland cancer center. When were you on medicaid in Ohio? Were you on the aged blind or disabled medicaid? During the last few years it's really been hard. Not so much for the young families with children but with the aged blind or disabled medicaid card holders...that's me. I have had to find a new pcp every year, they either quit taking medicaid abd or go to other fields. My rheumy has dropped me until he can get payment from CareSource medicaid....my gastroenterologist will not see me anymore since she will not take medicaid patients and I had to find someone else. All it seems I am doing is seeing a pcp one time and finding another one the next Your sister may be fine since she is on the regular family medicaid card but the ABD card holders are having a horrible time and they're cutting more next year. I hope they do help the low income families and also the aged, blind or disabled too while they're at it...cause we seem to be thrown off to the side. Ohio is beautiful country but if you're not able to find a dr who will see you, you have a hard time appreciating it cause you have your health to worry about. Hugs..a Ohio I was on medicade in Ohio and there is many many doctors accepting medicaid... My neiece is on medicade with 4 children and attending college to become a registerd nurse...When I lived in Coshocton county in southern Ohio,,,, there wasnt to many doctors accepting medicaid... THis could be in a lot of states in area's where there is not many doctors available. Cuts are being made all over the USA... It's so sad our government is doing this to their own people... I did hear on tv a medical insurance is going to the senate for working low income familys.... Let us all pray that it pass congress... gentle kind hugs Clora > Its tough enough finding a dr in Ohio but now this? Hugs..a > > ************** Looking for simple solutions to your real-life financial challenges? Check out WalletPop for the latest news and information, tips and calculators. Guest guest
I have been living in NW Ohio on the western end of Lake Erie for the last 12 years after having been transfered here by my company from NJ. Believe me, I don't miss NJ. I love the midwestern values, which I am sure are very close to the southern style of living as well. Pace is slower here and believe it or not, there is much less snow here than there was with those " noreasters " in NJ. You're right though about not too many Rheumy's here. I just happened to get lucky with the one I was referred to. And my GP has been a blessing. My youngest son just graduated from The Ohio State University in March so I guess I also qualify as a true Buckeye. Sorry if I offended any of you Okees, Razorbacks, Bulldogs, Gators or whomever may be lurking out there. Bob > > I love Ohio too but sometimes my joints do not..and the winters are tough.
