Guest guest
, On Hon, you sound so flustered. I know that you are weary also. I have not had any experience with either drug yet. I will soon though. I know someone will respond, but I just wanted to say, I want you to feel like your old self again also. Guest guest
and Group; I am so so sorry your going throught this pain. I have read so many that was in pain and got help from their rheumy. So many said they could live now with out pain. I had no Idea there was meds to help us till I read the post here. It took a year to get something else to help my RA. I think a lot was my own fault. Come appointment tiime for the rheumy, I would take a full bath, no not a quicky wash up. Doll myself up. And walk in her office like I was pain free. I just told her each visit I hurt all the time. She would say ok lets give this medicine a try. Haaaaaaaa, I read here some guy said. " what the hell I got to do to get some help, come to the office in a wheel chair. Maybe I put on like I wasn't in pain. Or the insurance required her to try the MXT, and other meds. I dont know. Last few visits I wallked in very slowly like a 120 year old woman. She said ok try this and we will see next time. I can't pput you on prednisone till I get your eye report. Hahahaha, The last visit my husband layed it on a little to thick. She is helpless, I have to take care of her every need. I gave him a look about the third time to shut up lol. But he wasn't lieing to the rhuemy. I couldn't cook, clean or anything else except use the bathroom myself from the agonizing pain. She gave me a month supply of prednisone. Oh wow, It is great. I couldnt believe how it relieved this pain. The first day I was completly pain free. I still ache a little bit. She is putting me on humira injections in a month. I wonder why I have to wait a month. Maybe my insuranse company has to ok it. Hopefully the humira will help me. I hope the enbrel helps you. I want us all to find the best cocktail and feel human again. hugs to everyone, gently Clora

Guest guest
Hi, . I haven't tried Humira or Enbrel as I don't have health insurance, but I did want to let you know that I know how you are feeling with the pain being out of control - that's where I'm at now. Some days I feel like I'm going out of my mind in pain. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you (and all of the group) and that you have better luck with this new med and are back to feeling human again soon....Doreen > > hi group, > > i am having a difficult time right now. i have noone to talk to so > i thought i would feel better if i just got it out. my rh just > switched my meds from humira to enbrel since i wasnt responding to > humira. has anyone switched with positive results????? i need a > miracle. i need to get back to human. i am in so much pain that i > havent felt human in a while. i need to get back to helping to > provide for my family (well my husband anyway). > > thanks so much for listening to me and any advice you could give > would be great. > > shannon >
Guest guest
Clora...please check out local YMCA. Some have water classes for RA at a very nominal cost. It would be wonderful to share the experience with those who " understand " ....Ask about water aerobics... CLORA <clora4jesus@...> wrote: and Group; I am so so sorry your going throught this pain. Guest guest
Cathrine Yes, I was planning to check out the YMCA. THANKS I am very hopefull about the humira. I hope it works. I couln't believe how the prednisone helped. I love water. As a kid we went to the neighborhood swimming pool all through my childhood. As an adult I always went to the lake or the pool. I havent done it for about 5 years. I am going back. Woo hoo, everyone said water is great. lol Clora

Guest guest
, I know there are several people here that have had good results from the Enbrel. I was switched from Enbrel to Humera. Since meds can effect everyone differently the Enbrel might just be the right one for you. I amlike you in that I would like to be able to get up in the morning and clean house, cook etc, without having to stop and take a nap during the middle of it.Hope it works well for you, I will keep my fingers crossed for ya. Guest guest
HI SHANNON, YES IT'S SOO FRUSTRATING, I HEAR YA!!!! I THINK WE ALL TRY TO KEEP THE FAITH BUT SOMETIMES IT'S SOO HARD... I ALSO TAKE ALOT OF MEDS. BUT I DO TAKE XANAX & LEXAPRO. IT SURE DOES HELP FOR MY DEPRESSION DUE TO ALL THE PAIN I'M IN EVERYDAY. I GET DISGUSTED WITH ALL MY MEDS BUT THE PILLS SURE DO HELP... WOULD'NT MAYBE HURT TO GIVE IT A TRY.. HOPE U FEEL BETTER SOON SWEETIE, GOD BLESS,MELYNDAGAMEZ 8/7/08 7:40P.M.CST [ ] Re: Switch of meds Hi Shirley, Melynda, and group!! i am frustrated and in a lot of pain. i am trying to keep the faith but it is getting harder everyday. i have been in pain for over a year and i just need some relief. thanks for your kind words and prayers. i need all the help i can get. i really need the enbrel to help. my family doctor wants to put me on depression or anxiety meds but i feel like i am on enough meds now - i really dont want anymore. i feel like i am starting to fall apart. my husband is great but doesnt really understand what this is like. he hates that i am in all this pain and cant help me. he hates also giving me shots - (i cant do it myself). my prayers are with everyone and i send hugs. ------------------------------------
Guest guest
, Hon, I really do feel for you. Your wagon is full and more keeps falling into it. I am the same way about antidepressants. I let my doc put me on one that was not hard to get off of. I took it for a couple of months and now I am great without it. A lot of people with RA and other cronic diseases take them because of what we endure daily. Just a thought. I hope with all my heart that today will be better for you and you certainly have my prayers.
