He was mentally confused and I thought a little paranoid. So he went back to Neurontin. dd **************Looking for a car that's sporty, fun and fits in your budget? Read reviews on AOL Autos. Guest guest
Tammy in WI and group I take lyrica, 100 mg tab, 4x a day, I go to the eye doctor every 6 months. I dont know how it works, It took the fibromyalgia pain completely away. I had my eyes checked today and they were fine. I have no other side affects. I been taking it for a year now. My entire body hurt so bad. When the lyrcia took the fibro pain away I had the RA pain and the bursitis pain left. taking other meds for that. gentle hugs Clora
Guest guest
Tammy, I take 750mg daily and it gives me some releif but the weight gain sucks. You would have to talk to your rheumy and weigh the pros and cons of lyrica. I have gained about 15 lbs from the lyrica in 5 months. It gives the best relief for my fibromyalgia so far. I tried neurontin with no luck. Best wishes. > > > Hi all, > I take Gabapentin currently, 1800 mg daily (1 in morning and 2 at night). Guest guest
and group O M G . Lyrcia caused weight gain. No wonder I gained so much weight. I gained about 50 lbs since taking lyrcia. Gosh darn I hate the pain. If I stop lyrcia the fibro pain will come back. Fibro hurt me pretty much my entire body. I have been maintaining for the last few months. Maybe I can start a weight loss regiment now. gentle hugs everyone Clora
Guest guest
I'm sure this has already been answered, but I'm going to say it anyway. If you are taking the lyrica for Fibro, studies have shown that it should be taken between 300 and 600 mg for benefits. I took it for nerve pain, and even though my dose was slowly titrated, I experienced overwhelming drowsiness that was so bad I could not function. It also caused me to have to drink water practically all the time... Tried me out. Many swear by Lyrica, but I can't say it did anything for my pain, Fibro, nerve or bone. -- Dodge An optimist thinks that this is the best possible world. A pessimist fears that this is true. Guest guest
Lyrica has helped my fibro immensely. I started at 75mg, was so dizzy for a week that I couldn't even walk around. As soon as that eased up, my rheumy added another 75. Here we go again! That time, when the dizziness faded, the fuzziness and unsteadiness didn't. I also gained 5 lb in about a month. ugh! I couldn't handle it, so stopped the Lyrica. The pain came back, so he had me try 25mg in the morning and 50 at night. That helped, but not enough. So last week I went to 25 in the AM and 75 at night. Also upped my Celexa from 10 to 20mg a day. It's not completely getting rid of my pain, but it does have it down to a manageable level. Unfortunately, the unsteadiness is back, too, and some fuzziness. So far no weight gain! But I do get very, very, sleepy in the afternoon, and am sleeping about 10 hr at night. So much better than the insomnia from the prednisone! (I'm still taking 5 mg of that daily), BTW, Dodge, I read your into post and your blog. Well written, especially the poetry. I haven't been through what you have, but we agree - live is for living! I am amazed that you are able to continue working! Hang in there, the 19th isn't far off now. I wish your doc was as responsive as mine, he never makes me wait for meds I need. Will be following your blog from here on. Guest guest
Clora, Sorry it has taken me some time to get back to you. I gained about 15 lbs from the lyrica. If I stop, the pain will be worse. I was starting to get into an excerise program, but my hernia started to get bigger. I have an appointment on 19th to see if I need to go in & have surgery. It's hard trying to loose the weight that you gain from meds. > > and group > > O M G . Lyrcia caused weight gain. No wonder I gained so much weight. > I gained about 50 lbs since taking lyrcia.
