Guest guest
Don't you wonder sometimes what these people are thinking? When my aunt was only days away from dying of liver failure - she was in her mid-90s, weighed only 52 lbs at the time, and had said enough! - her doctor kept her comfortable with morphine. When he went away for the weekend, the young doc who covered for him refused to give her the morphine, say enough to help might kill her! She was in so much pain, my sister who was sitting with her that weekend, said she understood euthanasia for the first time, she wanted so badly to just take my aunt's pillow and end her suffering. When her doc came back, he was very angry and gave her the morphine. She died peacefully two days later. What happen to that part of the Hippocratic oath, do no harm?
