Guest guest
I just love my rheumy and end up using him for other things other than RA so I suppose it's possible for you to do the same. Would he treat you as a primary care? That's the question. If he will, you have your answer! _____ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of bitsysguest Sent: Monday, August 11, 2008 8:33 AM Subject: [ ] Does anyone have 2 rheumatologists? After my rhemy moved, I went to 2 different one to choose a new one. They are both so wonderful that I am having a very difficult time making a choice! One of them is also an internist so I am wondering if he could be my primary care doc and the other my rheumy? Any ideas on this? thanks, Pat

Guest guest
i think it also sounds like a great idea. How lucky you are to have found two caring doctors that you like. Hang on to them..............keep us updated on how it goes. Best of Luck! Guest guest
As far as having a rheumy be my primary, I couldn't do that, when I call my current primary, I can be in to see him the same day, I would wait with my current rheumy. That would be my concern. in PA
Guest guest
Sheesh, honey I don't even have one rheumatologist. I have been waiting for a referal for some time now. Since I moved to south/eastern washington, i have not found even a PCP until about two weeks ago. Out of the two rheumatologists that are here in Yakima, one doesn't take medicare and and the other one is not accepting any new patients. So, i said what does one do in that case, i called and called and they put me on a waiting list, finally i got there and they wanted a referal from my primary care physician. My regular doctor decided to go to Japan, so i had to start ALL OVER AGAIN and had to find a regular doctor to give me a referal. I have been swollen up like a balloon for the last two years, it is mostly in my legs and the lupus and ra together makes for a very cranky and irritable chic. I have found ways to deal with the pain as best as i can, i am glad for the warm weather. So, hopfully with any luck i will have a ra doc by winter time. But as far as two of them, maybe i should go back to Seattle once a month to have that option. Sorry for rambling. Blessings, Kris
