Guest guest
Tammy, Arava did get my inflammation down which in turn really helped my pain. I was also taking 2 MTX weekly. You remembered correctly. My BP went way up with it. My rheummy told me to check it as often as possible. I have one of those digital drug store monitors. When it started going up I went to the firestation several times to get a reading that I trusted. Thanks Dodge and all EMTs for you help and kindness. This may not happen with you but please do keep an eye on it. I truly hope you get as good of results as I did without any side effects. Shirley > > > Just got back from my rheumy. I'm in the middle of a week on Lyrica to see if that helps. He said to stay on the Gabapentin if there is not a significant improvement on the Lyrica. > > I went off of MTX in June due to some possible lung problems. Today, he said to stay off of the MTX and now I get to try Arava. How is everyone's experience with Arava? I did forget to ask him about the possible impact on blood pressure. I remember reading that some have experienced higher BP. That is not good for me, as mine runs just a bit high. > > I also have to get off the prednisone. I can stay on 10mg for a month, then go to 7.5 for a month and then 5mg until i see him again in 3 months. Despite being on the prednisone, my tests show there is still inflammation, but that is probably due to the fact that I haven't been taking MTX all summer and only the plaquinil. > > Hope you all have a good day! > Tammy > _________________________________________________________________ > Get more from your digital life.
