Guest guest
I do, I do. LOL When I get up from a sitting position I sound like Rice Krispies. Everything has the snap, crackle, pop. > > Hello Everyone, I am new to this group and also new to RA. I was diagnosed in March 2007. I currently have RA in my left foot with eroisions, my left knee (cartlidge thinning), my right shoulder, right wrist with eroisions and my fingers. I was just wondering if anyone with RA experiences popping and cracking of the bones/joints? Please share any info with me. Guest guest
Hi traci, Welcome to the group. It is interesting you mentioned about the popping or cracking of the joints. As this has been happening to me for a long time, before I was even diagnosed with RA. I thought it was just a weakness in my body, but now I wonder how long the signs were there!!! I have RA in my feet, ankles, knees, wrists, hands shouders and neck, at times the pain is from fibro myalgia, that I suffer from as well. It is hard to know what is playing up, but all I can say it is very painful. I think I had RA a longer time than when I was first diagnosed with it four years ago now. You will find this group very helpful and it is great to deal with people who really understand. Hope you have a good Rhuematologist and support from family and friends as all of this helps. Take care . > Hello Everyone, I am new to this group and also new to RA. I was diagnosed in March 2007. Guest guest
Hi and Welcome to the Group. I had to laugh at your question of the bones & joints popping and cracking. Mine do it all the time. I can't sneak up on anyone anymore because my bones give me away!! *LOL* I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing - it just is and most of the time it doesn't hurt when that happens either. Hope this helps..........Doreen > > Hello Everyone, I am new to this group and also new to RA. I was diagnosed in March 2007. Guest guest
Hello . I to have ra and all of my joints pop and crack. I also have hypermobile joint syndrome, which is a fancy way of saying I am double-jointed. My wrists are so loose that I can dislocate them at will. (Not that I want to, but it happens.) wendy > > Hello Everyone, I am new to this group and also new to RA. I was diagnosed in March 2007. Guest guest
Hi! I have this also. My knees, elbows and fingers dislocate themselves. I wear a knee brace for my left leg, if it gets chronic. You are not alone and my sister and middle child has the same thing. I have to get ready for work, but I will have to read backwards on this group to find out more about this. I am not happy that others suffer with this also, but it is nice to not feel all alone in this. It can get really painful. Guest guest
Hi, Traci! I am 58, & diagnosed with RA & Osteo 4 years ago. I use Enbrel, MTX, Prednisone, & Relafen, and am usually able to do most anything I need to without too much of a problem. I have the popping in my elbows & shoulder. Sometimes it is like the joint gets stuck, & I have to make the motion again to make it move. It is getting so that other people hear it! I recently gave a hug to a friend at church, & she was startled by this noise. My husband has gotten used to hearing it as I toss & turn at night. I have mentioned it to my Dr., & she just said it is because of the arthritis. That was all she said, & I didn't ask anything else. I guess it has gotten so common for me that I don't notice it much. Compared to other pain I have, it doesn't really hurt. It is just a nuisance. Guest guest
Hi Judy, Thanks for your post. The meds I use are Humira (just barely started because I was scared), Prednisone (they take me off & put me back on), Plaquenil, Methotraxate, a Calcium tablet (looks like tums) & Vitamin D-2. Yeah, my husband can also hear my joints crack. I have the same problem with my joints locking and having to move it back to place. Sometimes every little thing I do causes a crack & pop. I wonder why some Drs say it is due to arthritis and others say it could be anything. It is so confusing sometimes, lol!!! Thanks so much!! :-) Keep in touch!!! Guest guest
When my shoulders get too tense up and spastic, I shrug them and both will pop. I told my rheum about it and he said pops are just air being release in the joint. Somehow the pop seems to help my bad shoulders.
