Hi, I am on at the moment,

sulfasalazine,predislone,folic acid,brufen,febridol,amtiptyline(for FM)

and my rheuamatologist is trying me on methotrexiate again !!!

I had a really bad reaction to methotrixate and plaquenill !!! It was

stuffing up my liver !!!

Now he wants me to try it again and moniture it closely !!!

I too would love to try enbrel, but over here in Australia they

eliminate all other medications first before they will put you on it!!

It is very expensive here too, but they subsidise it for you if

nothing else is working.

At the moment I can honestly say I don't think anything is helping me,

I am taking soo many tablets and am really getting fed up.

I am in so much pain, everywhere and feel like my body is an 90 year

old when I am only in my forties!!!

Now I am on antibiotics for a bad cough and it is interesting that you

said about predisolone (with your heart problem) isn't good. As I

too have recently had problems with my heart !!!

Hope you are getting some relief form this horrible illness.

Take care .

Sulfazine EC - 1000 mg twice a day

Effexor XR - 37.5 mg a day

Suboxone - 6 mg a day

Gabapentin - 900 mg a day

I usually take 4 to 7 ibuprofen a day when my leg hurts too from the

My list looks like nothing compared to everyone else.

MTX, Folic Acid, Prednisone, Synthroid, Prevacid, Climara patches and

my GP wants me to take Lexapro but I stopped that myself.

I hope I can start Enbrel this week.

I have been on Humira for 5 years through their Patient Assistance Program. I

strongly recommend that you contact the Humira Patient Assistance program to see

if you qualify for possible free Humira. I am also on injectable Methotrexate .6

units weekly (units because I use an insulin needle). I have tried to change to

Enbrel but I have found there Patient Assistant Program very difficult to deal

with.

Good luck and gentle hugs, Colleen

Enbrel, Loperssor, xanax xr,and an occasional tramadol. that's

it....and a whole lot of natural supplements.

Honestly by looking at the lists of what everyone is taking, no

wonder everyone feels horrible. Almost every list has horrbile drug

interactions. That is really scary. Some of those interactions could

kill people. Additonally, all the multitude of side effects. Yikes!

I always wish everyone the best!

Tombstone and Group;

You didn't put your name at the end of your email so I used your

email name Tomb, Hope that is ok. Hon your not taking as much meds

as you think. My husband takes none if you wanted to compare

haaaaaaa. I take a lot of meds, I am so glad they are here to take

or I would not be alive. I have CHF, COPD, PAH, IBS, RA, OSTEO

Diabetes, High blood pressure. I take several pills for each

illness.

The important part is do they help you. I hope they do. RA is a

very paiful disease. My family would prabably freak if they saw all

my medicines. I kinda keep them put away haaaaaaaaa. My husband

and my mother knows all my meds. Sometimes its a little

imbarrassing. I am so glad I am living in this century to be able

to have the technology to live with.

How is your pain level? RA has so many different effects on us. I

hope your feeling ok.

Gentle hugs

I hope all my meds don't kill me either. It may seem like a ton of meds..

hell it IS a ton of meds. BUt you mention that you take " a whole lot of

natural supplements " those supplements can be just as dangerous for people

as the kind made in the lab. Take a read of the contents on some of the

natural medicines. I have to agree life would be grand if no one had to take

natural or synthetic meds, but in this world some of us have to have meds to

be able to get up in the morning, to be able to do simple tasks at home. To

do something as easy as getting off a plane after a long flight.

Everyone reacts to medication in a different way. For you to say no " no

wonder everyone feels horrible " you haven't walked a mile in anybodys shoes

so it would seem best not to condem those of us who need meds, side effects

and all. I wish you all the luck in the world and hope that you never have

to have these deadly drugs as some of us do.

and group;

I take so many meds. If I don't I wouldn't be alive now.

When I first started taking meds I would read all the side effects

and warnings. I had to quit. I begin to think I had all the side

effects. When I told my doctor how bad a med was one day, he said

to me " You will die without these meds! " So, I just take them and

hope for the best. Some of them I have to take others to stop the

nausea it gives me. I am so glad we have the tech for medicines to

help us live a little longer feeling a little better.

This is why I don't try vitamins and minerals, Everything you eat

and breathe will kill ya lol. My great grandpa lived to be 107. I

met him when he was 105. Wow he looked great. He had a small garden.

He lived in the hills of W. Va. He lived on all natural foods. Farm

life he had. He smoked a cob pipe and he just looked so good. His

old fashion little house out of history was spotless. Work hard if

we can and live natural haaaaaaaaaa. Not in this day and time.

Ah, for those pre-disease days when I had no prescription drugs at all!

Not one - I didn't even have tylenol in the cupboard! And I certainly

didn't know my pharmacist's first name (Simon)LOL

in NZ

P.S: my pharmacist said I was one of his best customers - I bet that is

true for a lot of us...
