Guest guest
My aunt has SLE, Inflammatory Arthritis, Bipolar disorder and RA. So I believe I get it from here. Re: [ ] Re: WHO HAD RA THAT IS IN THE FAMILY OR DOES ANYONE THINK IT'S FROM I have a friend who was on the gold treatments for a while. I think they must have really helped her, as she has no deformities. Guest guest
I was diagnosed almost 6 years ago with RA at 55 yrs. of age. At the same time I also had diarrhea which turned out to be an auto immune colitis and hashimoto's thyroid problem which is also auto immune. My youngest son was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at age 14. After looking through both of my families, I had an Aunt on my Father's side that had RA and a great uncle on my Mother's side that was diabetic. That is it throughout my families, both mine and my husbands. I do have 3 other children and none of them have had any problems. Stress DEFIANTLY make all my illnesses worse. I am not effected by different foods. All of these diseases began just about 1 year after I stopped smoking. Colleen
Guest guest
My mother had Lupus and osteoarthritis, as did my grandmother. My Aunt. uncle and Grandfather had hemochroatosis also and auto-immune disease. My sister has IBS and the other sister has low thyroid. So not RA but a lot of auto-immune. Guest guest
That's very ironic, Colleen. Come to think about it, I got RA after I stopped smoking, but it was more like 3 or 4 years after. It was also after I had managed to lose weight! So can we conclude that RA is caused by stopping smoking and losing weight? LOL. Your post cracked me up laughing. I will leave it underneath in case someone missed it. In that case, I gained weight and got RA. So all I have to do is lose weight and the RA will be ok. According to alot of my family they tell me I will be better if I lose weight haaaaaaaaaaa. I know losing weight is always better for someone over weight. All my illness is cause by over weitht to most of my family. haaaaaaaaaaa. gentle hugs everyone Clora > > OH OH OH I vote for losing weight as the cause LOL > Heidi M >
