Guest guest
In can understand Clora's doc starting out with 2 MTX per week. Because of her other complicating health issues she does not want to over do it. That could result in making Clora very ill and upsetting all her other medical problems. When I started on MTX I started out on 3 pills and it was reduced to 2 pills. So I really think its between the doc and the patient to review the overall health of the patient as well as the patients tolerance for this medication. Many people with Diabetes have kidney damage and are not able to process medications as well as those without kidney damage. This is just an example of why a doc may reduce a medication dosage. As far as foreign doctors. I really do not care. The best rheummy I had was from Vietnam. The worst doc I had was an American doc that was a total idiot!!! I judge a doc by the medical expertise and ability to effectively communicate. I don't care about there race or national origin. Keep in mind there is a critical shortage of rheumatologist. Also there are many foreign born people who enter medicine. Just because they were born in a different country do not mean they were not educated in the US. If you are in doubt you can always check there creditials on line or through your insurance company. For rheummy's the arthritis foundation as a search engine you can review as well. And the Dr has not prescribed folic acid for you? 2 mtx a week is a VERY light dose, I thought Drs started at 3. I know you said your Dr is foreign, can you switch Drs? For me, my Dr must be educated in the USA. in PA ______________________________________________________________________ **************Looking for a car that's sporty, fun and fits in your budget? Guest guest
Toni, group Yes, THank you very much, I hope your right, becaue our hands are in the doctors hands. My doctor knew what to do. I just got mad cause I was in so much pain. Seeing how I have a lot of other diseases, she may had to take her time. So she wouldnt kill me in the process. gentle hugs Clora > In can understand Clora's doc starting out with 2 MTX per week.
