Guest guest
Welcome to all the newcomers to our RA family. Wish I could greet you individually but my puter at home crashed yet again so I can only drop in between things at work. So, on to the rant. I'm not always like this, I try to be positive and encouraging, but sometimes this stuff just SUCKS, doesn't it! I am having severe, unrelenting pain in both feet constantly, which the doc attributes to my psor.arth and is " part of the disease process. " HA! I hear that so much betweeen the RA, Psor.A, Fibro, etc. I should just have it tattoo'ed somewhere so she could just POINT to it and save us both the time! First thing every morning I have to get in a tub of hot water and soak just to be able to get ready for work, then figure out how to get out of the tub! Then to work where I have to climb 2 flights of stairs to get to my office. It has gotten to where walking is a nightmare. I don't have the option of quitting work, I'm a single mom with too much on my plate and too many people depending on me. Has anyone else with psoriatic arthritis dealt with this problem also? I did a medrol dosepak for pneumonia a couple of months back and it made me wish my doc would put me back on prednisone. I could walk, raise my arms, and generally move so much better with much less pain. Yeah, yeah,I know all about the side effects, but aren't there to everything we're taking! It's just a trade off-quality of life, or live with the effects of the meds. If yall have had this problem, has anything helped? I did the gel insole thing and that's a little better but it's kind of like fighting a forest fire with a water pistol. I refuse to give this control over me, but it is wearing me down like you would not believe. OK, that's it. Thanks for listening. I'm going to have a cup of coffee and a lovely, fattening, strawberry cheesecake muffin and damn the calories. And wish I was in Cabo, on a beach, with a parasol drink, and cute cabana boys.
