Guest guest
I was a heavy smoker for over 30 years, and I admit to the possibility that I might have caused my RA. I do know that smoking was the most unhealthy thing that I've ever done, and I'm glad I finally had the guts to quit. If I hadn't, it probably would have killed me by now. Guest guest
Hi Sue - I smoked for over 25 years and have been Smoke-Free and Healing for Two Years, Four Months, Two Days, 1 Hour and 58 Minutes, (thanks Quit Counter *lol*). Both of my parents died from smoking related illnesses. Who would've thought that RA would be added to that ever-growing list of smoking related illnesses (although this is not the first time I've heard that)? While I'm not surprised, it is just another example that if I had known then what I know now, I would never have started smoking to begin with. Thanks again to for another informative article. > > > It has > > been hard to define with certainty important environmental factors > > although some success has come from the description of a strong link > > between smoking and RA2. >
Guest guest
Congratulations, Mimi, on being a FORMER smoker. I wish I had never started, too, but it's too late to unring that bell. Guest guest
Sue, you said " its too late to unring that bell " - do you mean too late to never start smoking or to you think its too late to quit? I am part of an awesome group that is geared to helping people quit smoking. I am paying it forward now, since I already had quit when I found this group: www.becomeanex.org - Doreen > > Congratulations, Mimi, on being a FORMER smoker.
