Guest guest
I certainly get severe pain in my lower back. It is RA. My defintition of lower back may not be anatomically correct but the pain is real. somewhere between back and hips.... maggiemac52 <maggiemac52@...> wrote: My lower back was hurting me last year and my rheumy told me that you don't get RA in your lower back. I am not sure about the mid back though. When I first was diagnosed with RA, I had pain in my upper back (above my bra strap) and they said that was RA. I hope you feel better soon. > > > > Does anyone know if you can get RA in your mid to lower back? Guest guest
RA you can have in the sacrum joints, which is the pelvic area. I have degenerative disease of my back and spondylitis, the spondylitis can cause pain in the rib cage area eventually. But I have had problems with inflammation of the lining to the rib cage, the plura. You may want to see the Doctor about it. My Mom whom does not have RA had back pain in the upper back area and had X-rays done and found out she had an abdominal Aorta Anerisym, something not to mess with, don't take any chances get checked out. jean From: ktandtm <ktandtm@...> Subject: [ ] Re: Mid to lower back pain Date: Monday, August 18, 2008, 8:29 PM Mine is mid to low. Not down near my tailbone but below the bra strap. It would kind of be near the kidney area but like I said those were checked not long ago. For me I think it may be a muscle connective tissue thing. It is mainly on my right side. Who knows. Thank for your replies. Every little bit helps. > > > > > > > > Does anyone know if you can get RA in your mid to lower back? > I > > have > > > > been having pain there terribly lately and I know it isn't my > > kidneys > > > > as I just had them checked.
