Guest guest
Now, Dennis, don't get any more diseases. I think you have more than your share. Guest guest
Dennis, I have both peripheral neuropath (right leg) and Reynaud's. There's a big difference in them. I find, as most do, that the Reynaud's only kicks up when it's cold out or even if I go into a supermarket frozen food department. The neuropathy never goes away. Your description does not sound to me like common Reynaud's and I think it would be worthwhile for you to see a neurologist. I know it seems like all we ever do is hear that we have yet another illness..it's depressing. Dorothy _____ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Dennis W Sent: Friday, August 15, 2008 1:55 PM Subject: [ ] Another diagnosis- Reynaud's During my last visit with the Rheumy, I talked about the seemingly peripheral neuropathy I was suffering from. Guest guest
I'm sitting here at the computer and the temp outside is in the lower 80's. My toes feel cold and are tingling, not a condition to describe Reynaud's is it? Sue, I don't have enough letters after my name yet. That's the goal, isn't it? The more we have, the more we get! Guest guest
Dennis in E.Texas and Group; I have RA, IBS, Fibro, I noticed you said your feet get cold from reynauds disease. I have that problem with my ears nose and feet. They dont get like the picture I looked up on the net. I hope I dont have reynauds. I got enough for a bunch of people. There is not much you can do about it. I hope you feel better. gentle hugs Clora

Guest guest
I'm not sure if I am typical, but I don't really get tingling with Reynaud's. Perhaps a bit when the cold/numbness is going away. What I first noticed was that my fingertips would turn bluish-white like all the blood had drained from them. As they " warmed up, " there may be some slight tingling. In my case, the tingling would be more from neuropathy. I do want to point out though that with my neuropathy, there are a number of sensations (burning, stinging, numbness, jolts of pain, electric-type shocks, etc.) but really no sensation of cold. I do still think it's worth your while to see a neurologist to rule out neuropathy. My rheumy also told me that Reynaud's can develop into a horribly disfiguring disease. During the winter, my fingers get very dry, chapped and start to crack and bleed. In the worst cases, that becomes constant. Guest guest
and group; Thanks , I appreciaite you telling me you like my post. Every morning when I get on the computer. I hope I didnt write to much stupid stuff on the post. I have always love to write. I love paper work. Yes I love paper work. I hear people complain about their paper work I tell them let me do it. They laugh and say wish I could let you. My hands would get so cold when I typed I would wear gloves with the tips cut out. My daugheter would sweetly laugh and say mother you seem to have everything wrong with you. Maybe I was meant for another planet where the gravity isnt as strong haaaaaaaaa. And the weather was warmer at the extremities and colder twoard the core lol. haaaa. Yes I dont even complain anymore. I just find a way to cope, like cutting holes in my gloves haaaaa. My family really loves me. The furthest relatives thinks I am a hyperchonderact. Thats ok my closest kin know I am genuine. I love everyone. I can't help it. After I got saved Jesus came into my heart and showed me the love for mankind. He also showed me to flee from evil. So I pretty much stayed away from trouble makers. Ut o this is getting long let me close with God bless you and take care. gentle group hug Clora
Guest guest
Dorthy and Group; Thank you Dorthy. I probably have reynauds. I am not going to worry about it till it gets bad. I have RA and Fibro. My feet are dry and cracked and bleed sometimes. I pack it with vaseline and put socks on, thats how I deal with it now. I will ask my rheumy about it when I see her again. I better start writing down what I need to ask her. Cause everytime I see her I forget. I talk so much she has to repeat herself on derections she gives me. My husband goes with me cause he takes care of me and wants to hear what the doctor says. Good thing he did. I have really botched a few directions up that he fixed. gentle hugs Clora

Guest guest
Dorothy, the last time I went to a hot-shot Neurosurgeon was for the numbness in my right leg. After 1 1/2 hours in the MRI machine, he concluded that my pants were too tight! I think I'm going to work on the assumption that it's not Reynaud's. I'm also starting to be convinced that I'm in REMISSION! Won't that be nice??? Guest guest
Well, if it were me, I'd see another not-so-hot neurologist. Not sure which of the problems you mention are in remission, but more power to you for healthy days :-) Dorothy _____ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Dennis W Sent: Saturday, August 16, 2008 1:10 PM Subject: Re: [ ] Another diagnosis- Reynaud's Dorothy, the last time I went to a hot-shot Neurosurgeon was for the numbness in my right leg. Guest guest
My bad, Clora. I was referring to the RA. Either I'm in remission or the shots in my back are still working, but the back is starting to hurt again. I woke up this morning with my feet on the floor and the rest of me on my back in bed. My back was killing me when I tried to get all of me either on the bed or on the floor, and the battle went on. I finally got myself arranged, and shortly my back relaxed enough for me to get up. It's not as bad as when I woke the first time but am still taking it easy 'cause I don't want to hurt anything else. Guest guest
I have reynaulds too..I finally re addressed it again...My rheumy prescribed a low dose norvasc to take at bedtime...I was scared about starting it and had a discussion with my family doc..she encouraged me to take it, it would help with circulation, especially with people suffering with arthris..I have notice a great big difference..I feel my limbs and body are warmer. I was always cold, couldnt get warm..Now when im in contact with something cold, i start to feel the sensation that caused my finger and toe turn blue, but it stops quickly...My finger and toes are nice and pink...diane
