Hi group. Despite the rigors of RA, several of us have been blessed with new

babies and pregnancies lately. When I miscarried last year (blessedly early in

pregnancy), many of you kindly offered your prayers and empathy. I'm sad to say

that today a member of my mom's group lost her daughter at 32 weeks gestation.

She delivered her today, stillborn. She's new to our area, so our mom's group

is trying to be supportive, but respectful of her privacy. It seems that life

can throw us terrible turns at times. As we struggle with our health and the

challenges of rheumatic diseases, I think of how we are united in suffering with

so many others with similar and even much different losses and disappointments.

For those of you who are so inclined, maybe you'd say a prayer for her, her

husband, and her daughter, who are grieving here in central Illinois.

Thanks, Kate F

Can I please have just a first name or initials to meditate on?

I suffered a similar loss years ago. Five years later I gave birth to a

miracle who is now 26.

I will pray she keeps her faith....

Of course I will add her and her family to my prayer list. I, too,

would like some way to refer to her, initials or first name would be

good. My son and dil lost a baby through miscarriage also, after

trying for almost 5 years to get pregnant. She keeps a little angel

figurine on her dresser to remind her of their child in heaven. They

now have three and a half year old twins, and a two year old. My dil

has PCOS and IBS.

God Bless you for supporting this woman and her family.

Thanks everyone.

I've got a call in to see if we can learn her daughter's name, and I'll ask to

release first names for prayer lists.

They're just the nicest people, and I wish no one had to go through something

like this.

It's her first baby, and she had just finished painting a mural on the nursery

wall.

I'm also in a women's health forum and there's a gal I've chatted with who lost

a baby shortly after birth last summer to Pallister-Hall syndrome. Happily,

they just had a new boy around the time I had Tommy, so she's had time to grieve

and continue to build her family. I shot her an email and she was generous to

offer to correspond with my friend, should she want to do that down the road.

I'm sure there's nothing more helpful that talking with someone who had btdt, as

we in the RA group have found.

Ain't it grand when the internet can be used to reach out to people we wouldn't

even recognize on the street?

Hugs, Kate F

So sorry to hear this, Kate.

I'll keep your friend and her family in my prayers.
